About this job:
Our Client requires candidates for two (2) project manager (PM) contract assignments. One assignment will be 100\% allocated to support initiatives within a specific client product line. The second assignment involves splitting time between key aspects of two large initiatives. An emphasis on business-facing PM experience is preferred, though familiarity with IT project management practices is helpful.
Length of engagement: 6 months, with right to hire or option to extend

MSA Role Overview for Project Manager:
The Project Manager is mostly autonomous, but seeks guidance and direction from client leadership, as needed. Directly contributes to project success by providing effective project management on assigned projects and will be accountable to the Project Sponsor for the successful delivery of project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages 2 to 4 mid-size or one large project
- Develop and manage the end-to-end execution of project plans by following the Project Management Life Cycle, adopting Best Practices, and fully utilizing Enterprise Project Management (EPM).
- Effectively measure project scope, scope creep, issues and risks, schedule status and variance, and resource management issues as it relates to assigned projects. Act on data in a timely manner, resulting in no surprises.
- Proactively monitor and accurately communicate regarding project performance using EPM, dashboards, reports and other communication vehicles.
- Proactively collaborate across projects with other project managers to identify project risks, issues and efficiencies and to avoid scheduling or resource conflicts on inter-related projects.
- Responsible and accountable for full knowledge and execution of project management best practices.
Experience and Education:
- BA/BS or equivalent experience
- Three or more years project management experience
- PMP certification preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS Project or equivalent PMIS tool required; MS Project Server preferred
Qualified candidates should also demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
- Assignments are more business-facing in nature but require the ability to interface effectively with both business and IT stakeholder groups.
- Strong proficiency in MS Project 2010 schedule development and management; familiarity with EPM or Project Server 2010 and SharePoint a plus.
- Demonstrated communications savvy, professionalism and ability to facilitate decision making and actionable outcomes with both internal and external client teams.
